Two poetic things I've heard this week:

They're going home from where they're not
- My dad's girlfriend Jody, talking about the traffic on Memorial day. Mostly poetic because I later replaced "not" with "naught" in my head without immediately realizing it.

Hey... hey sir! Do you have the same dreams?
- Yeah Sometimes.
Hey, one day I'll play football again. One day, one day I'll play basketball again. Sir! Do you have the same dreams?
- Yeah, Sometimes.

(a conversation between my father and a homeless man)

My week.

This is going to be kinda ridicuous... Maybe not to you but to myself because I never talk about this sort of thing, but what the fuck. Oh man. The number of entries I've deleted half way through. I half think I'll do the same thing to this one.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

"It only remains for me to say that during that 'freak storm' Crow's ancient clock seems likewise to have vanished; for no single trance of that -conveyance?- cound be found, neither a splinter nor even the tiniest fragment; and I think I know what Crow meant when he wrote: '...this is our way out, but God-only-knows where it may lead...'"

Titus Crow: The Burrowers Beneath and The Transition of Titus Crow

What? What is this place I have stumbled upon? Certainly it cannot be my livejournal. It seems so strange and foreign to me now.

If you haven't seen me recently, you should know that I have metamorphed into a sex god. My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. They want my nuts bad. My IQ has increased by 300%. I'm a world renowned comedian. I got accepted to American University and my first published novel is being released in a month.

Just teasing you!!! LOL! J/P!!!! Except I actually have turned into a sex god and all the boys DO want my nuts. Have you seen my hair? Damn I'm fine.

Battlestar Galactica on tonight. Why aren't you watching it?

I wanted to let you all know that I am leaving. Forever. For two weeks. I'm still gonna really miss you guys a lots. And I'll probably still check on you. So when you update your journals, say something exciting to distract me from sun and beaches. Bleck. I hope I have fun and also that you do not have too much fun without me. Please? Fine I guess you can have fun.

I passed! Heck yes I did. This is my little dance.

Doot doot doodadoot dee doot doo.

AP French- 3. Thats right. Passola. Passarati. Passtaroni.
AP History- also 3. What how? But I guess thats alright because a bunch of people failed. failed. We have no idea what happened. Mr. Cullison is God. He don't deserve this kind of educational bankruptcy. For most definite, this man is a genius. And a wonderful teacher. And 30% failed. He's so distraught. I'd give him a hug but he's so very tall and menacing. A popular conjecture is that we were worse off than last year because they knew what the DBQ was going to be about. I say fuck that. That's the easy way out. I say it's because everyone from last year told everyone from this year it was an easy class and you'd most likely pass the test if you did any work at all, so a bunch of half-assed students (such as myself) signed up and weren't worried about studying.

To say nothing of my completely wasted summer, Nantucket is in a week. I'm excited. As some of you know, I'm going to meet a boy with a yacht who will whisk me away for an evening and fall passionately in love with me. But no! My heart yearns for another. The local son of a shop owner. A fudge shop. They scrape by on what they have left over from the extremely expensive rent, but he'd more than make up for it in love. Hot steamy love. On the beach. Or a sailboat. Or both. Or we could steal yacht boys yacht, use up all the gas, and leave it where we found it. Yeah that’s right. I'm sinister. I'm also the most amazing romance novel ever written.

Dear All,
The Brazilian congress is now voting on a project that will
reduce the Amazon forest to 50% of its size. It will take 1
MINUTE to read this, but PLEASE put your names on the list and
forward this on as instructed below.
First, some facts:
-The Amazon rainforest is responsible for the generation of 20%
of the oxygen that we on this earth breathe, 30% of the world's
freshwater is contained within the Amazon basin, 60% of the
cancer fighting drugs used
today are derived from plants that can only be found within the
Amazon rainforest.
-The area to be deforested is 4 times the size of Portugal and
would be mainly used for agriculture and pastures for livestock.
All the wood is to be sold to international markets in the form
of wood chips, by large multinational companies. The truth is
that the soil in the Amazon
forest
is useless without the forest itself. Its quality is very acidic
and the
region is prone to constant floods.
- At this time more than 160,000 square kilometres deforested
with the same purpose are abandoned and in the process of
becoming deserts,
meaning that this
proposal is in the short-term interests of a few, & in the long
term interests of none.
Please copy (cut & paste) the entire text into a new e-mail', put
your complete name in the list below, and send to everyone you
know. (DON'T JUST FORWARD IT - AS
IT WILL THEN END UP WITH ROWS AND ROWS of '>'s -which discourages
people
from sending on)
If you are the 400th person to sign please send a copy to:

Oh man. So I went to bellarmine prom. Curse me if you must. In my head I kept going, dont worry katie, just keep a hold on yourself, you'll dance to the bad music and eat some food and look pretty, and then be out of there. In no way will you associate yourself with the other girls going to bellarmine prom. Dont even worry about associating yourself. It's impossible. And what the fuck happens? Oh I'll tell you. I knew everyone. Thats a lie but I still knew a lot of people there. That was NOT good for me remaining the outsider. I became "girl at prom." It was harsh.

Actually I had a blast. Aside from minor drama and my strap coming undone it was pretty much perfect. Would have been more perfect if I had taken off my shoes sooner, skanky floor or no. James was hardcore stylin too. To top it off, Tank Girl was on tv and we watched it at the after party.

Oh man story time. So my backpack got stolen. From my house. Crazy shit, no? They stole our console games and a keyboard too. But my backpack? Lame. Oh and I took the AP French test yesterday. I don't think I passed but I'll post results when they arrive nonetheless. Je suis meilleur dans le lit que toi. Putand. Ma putand. Ne le nie pas.

Excitement much? [Mar. 20th, 2005|06:34 pm]

[music |Azure Ray - Sleep Thought it would be appropriate]

Just so you know how fabulous I am, one more week until spring break for Lincoln and the one more week is actually three days of classes and one of downtown/play about asian rock band(s). The other cause for excitement/fabulousnessosity you'll have to ask about if you dont already know.

So I'm reading L'etranger and I've only read the first page, but I've read it a couple times. And I also enjoy flipping to random pages and reading aloud because it's french and sounds nice even if I dont know what I'm saying. Now I'm really tired even though I took a long nap this afternoon. I did my english homework too! Rejoicing! Time to go to bed.

Poor katie and milene. Actually its probably better though cause right after we got home we realized that Twelfth night and One-Acts both had shows on the same couple nights. Still disappointing though. Now I'm going to be bitter when I see it. Probably not quite. I'll get over my bad self in about a day.

Twelfth Night auditions [Mar. 15th, 2005|07:57 pm]
[mood | tired]
[music |There're all kinds of noises goin off in my head.]

This hot pocket made my stomach angry. Y'know what would be so cool? They should make a mind-reading type writer, so when you're bored but having totally mind blowing thoughts you could turn it on and it would record your totally mind blowing thoughts. It would be mind blowing.

I'm going to try out for twelfth night at Bellarmine tomorrow. I hope I get in, even if it may make things very complicated. I just assume that because you all love me, you wish me luck, so... thanks! I'll post if I get in or not. emphasis on not.

I mourn you, George Lucas. [Mar. 13th, 2005|07:23 pm]

[music |Star Wars theme song]

WHYYYYY is hayden christensen in the third Star Wars movie? I mean that boy is adorable, but he's such a ridiculously bad actor.

Furthermore, why is there going to be a third Star Wars movie? They already had their second chance. And all they came up with was "Around the survivors a perimeter create." What the hell? Yoda-ism isn't just saying the sentence backward. I know this. They should most definitely know this! There is a subtle art to the Yoda-speak!

Anyway I have many other angers at this movie but I've already ranted about them, so I'm good. I'll see you all tomorrow unless I can somehow get this cold to keep me home.

SATs make my head hurt.

[music |Wagon Christ - I am singing]

You know this better than yourself
You can see this face
and it's not in a mirror, these little dotted lines
orbits of moons intertwine
All you have to do is reach out and something's there
It can't be there, must be a reflection. There must be something behind. Something I can't see. Something inside. But then you reach inside and its everything you knew this was. Everything where it's supposed to be. Only better than in your head because its real. There are no fuzzy places that you can't fill in, no emptiness that cant be breached. Definite like some cave but endless. So deep you can see stars. Not above but all around. Like falling into the sky. And you know that you've always wanted to let go. You've never really been afraid. Love? But you cant love breathing. You cant long for the blood pumping through your chest, your eyes, the tips of your fingers. Only its there. Like a stone in your hand that you pick up and hours later you realize youve been holding it the whole time.
But then you realize that it is your imagination. There is no guarantee.

Who has seen Les Triplets de Belleville? Actually it doesnt matter because I shall describe anyway. This old womans grandson is cycling in the Tour de France but he lags behind. The other boys who lag behind are wheezing really creepily and kinda like ponies and their eyes bug out, not very pretty but still a totally bitchin' movie. Now, if you will, imagine X-men 2 the evil villains son who's brain excretes that mind-controlling serum and he wheezes really creepily too but less like a pony and more like a hissing noise, like a snake, if you please.

Now why are you imagining this? Because you must know my frustration for I am a hybrid of these two extremely creepy and annoying wheezes. And I have passed out now, weeeeee! Urg I sounds like such a whiny complainy lady, but I'm not too upset. Eating candy, fun fun fun. And squeal I went shopping! And umm... I saw Mousical! Go Breanna. Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? Not she! Aaaand, I got 55 dollars from babysitting super cute little boy (who's going to be such a pimp when he's older) but I spent it, me he he.

And as I depart for bed, let me say this:

I BLOW MY SNOT BUBBLES AT YOU! HAHAHAHAHAHEE HEEEEE!

Hey, guess what, this is me, updating. SEE? Me updating. Now shut up Adam. Ah sorry that was a little harsh. But no, no apologies for you. meh heh heh.

I have decided that boys are just too frustrating to deal with. I am breaking the news to Jillian and Marie that I am now gay and we can have lots of gay sex.

Oh it's no use! I think I'm doomed to live a heterosexual and highly frustrating life.

SO! come see me as a mammoth when skin of our teeth finally comes out. I'll have sideburns that look like tusks and it will be amazing. History of mankind fun fun. Hmm I'm sure there are other things. Congratulations to breanna for a wonderful performance in Mousical which I will be seeing again tomorrow. Go quinn for her license and finally assuring me of how to spell license. And go Jillian for helping me babysit. I think the parents will be getting home very very soon so ta!
